Before the IGP commits suicide…
Friends, the IG of Police who got a junior staff pregnant and married her according to Senator Misau revelation is on it again. Due to pressure, he quickly released Daniel Elombah and held onto Tim. We reject this game.
This time, he intends to get the Magistrate Judge of Grade 1, Magistrate Court, Mpape, to give him an illegal favorable order to keep Tim Elombah the Editor of Elombah.com for 20 days in their custody where they plan to charge him to court after the 20 days and imprison him in Kuje.
We need to drum it to the ears of the IGP that we are ready to mobilize Journalists and Nigerians to occupy the force headquarters if this criminal plan sails through.
I call on the Magistrate Judge not to be used to set a negative record in his/her legal career. The judge should not allow him or herself to become the focal point of journalists, thus ending a wonderful career. The IG already has his loads of dirty baggage and about to be sacked, thus must not drag the court into his unholy dance of shame.
Elombah is not the only medium that published the investigative report. Tim didn’t even author it. It’s madness to keep a journalist with you all in the name of investigations. How crude!
If IGP Idris is tired, he should go back and wear his Mopol uniform and stand on the road to extort their usual N100 note, not embarrassing the presidency. Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina cannot pretend to be deaf to this.
We hold the IG responsible for this, not Buhari. We must begin to hold institution accountable to their crime and illegal deeds and not use the President as a fall guy, just like the IG expects we do.
We do not only demand the unconditional release of Tim but a query given to the IG. This is same IG that personally queried a DIG through a letter for investigating Senator Andy Uba certificate fraud after exchange of dollar notes. Let him deny this and I will come out with proof.
Kindly broadcast and share till the judge see this.
(Men who had great impact on my very self in Business, Political and Activism world 2017):
1) Hon. Hilary Obi Ibegbulem (Principal Secretary to Governor of Delta State):
The Lion Heart of Africa, as he is fondly called by admirers and most especially disciples, is a man after God’s heart, a nationalist and pan Delta to the core. My 2017 wouldn’t have been worthwhile without the reshaping and remodelling of myself by this man who believes in mentoring and giving platform to the very Best irrespective of where you are coming from.
The Lion Heart of Africa has done noble all through 2017 and it is my prayer that Jah in His infinite mercy continually bless him to bless this generation.
2) Comrade Pastor Prince Harrison Ehimiyen (Principal Secretary to Minister of Petroleum (State):
This is a man, who had great business and humanitarian impact in my very self in 2017. A youngman who is committed to solving problems. Irrespective of his busy schedules, he has continued to reachout aimed at getting the Best for his generation.
Truly, Prince Harrison is surely the next big thing waiting to happen in the political landscape of Edo State.
It is my prayer that you will continue to be lifted up for humanity sake.
3) Comrade Fejiro Oliver (Publisher of Secret Reporters):
For sure, my 2017 wouldn’t have been complete without the striking of cord between me and this good man. Fejiro Oliver has been grossly misunderstood for his service to Humanity, he is a man who goes for the very Best, irrespective of tongue.
This is a man who is committed to giving the society the very Best. A media guru and a great influencer of humans. It is also my prayers that Jah continually lift him up to continue to assist humanity.
4) Comrade Chika Kessy Ossai (My Chief of Staff/Director of Action and Mobilisation NANS Zone B ):
Sometimes, i ask myself, what the world would have been, without this youngman, always beside me? A committed fellow and integrity personified.
Am proud to always have him not just behind me but beside me.
I can be doing other things or even sleeping and he takes charge of my financial dealings perfectly.
My dear as a youngman growing up, either in business or political world, and you don’t have somebody who can take charge of your financial dealings, someone who has all your bank details and ATM card, my dear brother, better begin to have a rethink. Chika is a near perfect gentleman, who has over the years, reprimanded me, remodelled me. He has remained a great adviser to me!
Behind those smiles people see between us, we do quarrel alot, infact he is my quarrel mate, but he has learnt how best to handle my excesses, therefore nobody settles us again but we settle ourselves. May Jah continually bless my brother for always being there for years, as many good years is on it’s way.
_And to my immediate family (Parents and Siblings), DELSU and NANS family, you guys has had great impact on my very self in 2017 and going forward, we will continue to do more for humanity.
Jah bless us all!
Pedro Chibuzo Obi,
My own is that nobody should temper with Latimore Fred Oghenesivbe’s appointment, for no ones candle shines brighter by quenching another man’s own.
I wanna reiterate at this point that we are first and foremost, one Delta before political party… Go back to history, prior to year 1997, there wasn’t PDP or APC, but we have remained Deltans, who knows, maybe all these parties will go, but we will remain…
Remain bless and let’s celebrate Latimore’s appointment as One Delta, One Belle!
Congratulations once again as the Board Chairman of the National Institute of Transport Technology!
From the inside information i got this night wit regard to d volume of money dat left GTB Bank, and unprecedented number of corporate accounts that was closed down today in Solidarity with #InnosonMotors. Then customers may do well to begin closing their small small accounts, to avoid MMM story and wetin happen for 1990, not to repeat itself. If person bank fold like Scaffold, my hand and leg nor dey Ooo… You can on your own do the needful to avoid stories that touches blokos! #InnosonMotors_Is_Nigerians_Pride, kill it not!
Heard Some stupid people led by one idiot; Emmanuel Nwosu, has gone ahead to declare a parallel National Executives of PDP, it is very obvious, they are bunch of sponsored animals, who doesn’t mean well for our Democracy. My only advise to PDP and her stakeholders, is never to go decipate energy in court fighting for who is authentic or not, for Nigerians knows what is happening. Rather, they should use the money to Sponsor another group of people, call for a Press Conference and declare themselves too as the new National Working Committee of APC. Since APC wants to act dirty, PDP should follow suit, never to allow themselves to be distracted, for the struggle to 2019, is enormous. #RSM Pedro Chibuzo Obi, A concerned Democrat! 20/12/2017
I congratulate the leadership of NANS Zone B ably led by Comr. Okereke Godson C Bishop on the success of her first Senate Meeting. Haven started your administration in Enugu State, just thesame way my administration first Senate Meeting was held in Enugu State, i pray Jah to give you the Grace to continue on the right path and surpass the little we were able to do in our time. Indeed you have started well without mincing words. I want to use this medium to call on all our leaders across the zone, to drop whatever political baggage we may have, as time for politics is over and now is time for governance. BISHOP needs our support morethan ever. I plead at this point that the overwhelming Love and support that i received in my time should be unconditionally transfered to him (BISHOP) for a smooth running of the organisation. Just as i was being celebrated by all our Senators and comrades yesterday, BISHOP as our Coordinator should be celebrated everyday. Thank you all. #RSM Pedro Chibuzo Obi, CNS Coordinator, NANS Zone B 16/17

LAWYERS ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW; THEY SHOULD NOT BE PLACED BELOW IT
There have been disturbing reports about the activities of Mrs. Jane Mbanefo, the DPO of 33 Police Station of the Nigeria Police, Onitsha Anambra State.
Stories of her brazen acts of intimidation, assault, uncivilized approach, verbal abuse and high-handedness as revealed by two Onitsha based lawyers, CHIAMAKA NDULUE NWANGWU and COSMAS ANYABOLU, whom she assaulted at the station in the course of discharging their duties as lawyers. Her brazen assault in lawyers is a slap on our collective face as legal practitioners.
Her attitude towards legal practitioners is outlandish, excessive and unfortunate. It has rendered her unfit and improper to be the DPO of a Police Station or to remain in the service of the Nigeria Police Force.
Mrs Jane Mbanefo’s abuse of her powers of arrest and detention of legal practitioners as well as her constant use of coercion to obtain a written apology from her victims before they can be released from unlawful custody, must be deprecated. Legal practitioners are not above the law; they must not be placed below the law either. They should not be intimidated, assaulted and detained for doing their lawful duties.
Her acts of impunity must stop. How can any sane society have as DPO, a police officer who thrives on brazen show of force and recklessness? How can such a person be entrusted with the responsibility of protecting lives and property much less fighting crimes ? .
The actions of the DPO of 33 Police Station. Mrs JANE MBANEFO is a gross display of executive lawlessness, which must not be encouraged in any decent society . The actions are unconstitutional, illegal and unlawful infringement on the rights of the lawyers.
No decent society can tolerate her penchant for violence and intimidation. She cannot be entrusted with the responsibility of protecting lives and property talk less of fighting crime. Her activities as the DPO of the station typify impunity. She must therefore be protected from herself so as to save persons who have reasons to be at the police station from her reported recklessness.
Stories of this nature underscore the urgent need for NBA to boldly stand up to defend the rights of its members whose lives are endangered for doing their duties as lawyers.
The NBA especially its branches need to take urgent steps to protect lawyers from assault and intimidation by law enforcement agents.
Mazi Afam Osigwe
WORDS ON THE MARBLE :
“The NBA needs to go beyond the Law School to affect the lives of the Law students at the university level. Leadership training or discipline at the law school level is not sufficient. We also need to fund lecturers to do research that will help the development of the Justice sector and constitutionalism in Nigeria. We need to involve the academia in the running of the NBA needs to make law students understand that there is an Association that will embrace them when they qualify to be lawyers. It is my belief the NBA invests in setting up an endowment fund to promote legal education and mentorship programs for law students and young lawyers”- Mazi Afam Osigwe.
The Prison Warder came to me with the Defendant standing trial in handcuffs. The Warder says he has been looking for an opportunity to speak with me. He is concerned with the detention of the defendant. He says I must find way to help him. Tall order!
I was annoyed. Remembering it was a criminal case involving the dregs of the society, I was circumspect in my response to avoid a backlash. It is not easy prosecuting violent rogues in a society wanting in security and safety. No matter what you feel you must be concerned about your safety.
I knew where he is coming from. I told him, Sir my hands are tied. I follow instructions of the Attorney General. He has recommended prosecution and I cannot flout same. The job I do is similar to yours.
You brought him from the prison yard. Can you release him? He answered in the negative. There you are!!! Your constraint is same for me. We are in same boat. I told him I wish I could help. I have overwhelmed him. I bid him bye and left.
This is one of the challenges. It comes in different patterns.
Colleagues representing the Defendants also engineer it. They say it is “settlement”. They liase with the family. All of a sudden your potential witnesses develop cold feet. Why don’t you allow it?
Then you remember if you indulge in this pattern, how will you get judgments to justify your salary and advance your career? The same guys urging you to settle will blackmail you when the chips are down. They will say you are useless at your back and mock you. Yes those people seeking your help!!!
To my chagrin I discover that amidst the pleas of compromise no one ever bothers to ponder that an untamed rogue poses a threat to all and sundry including those negotiating his exit. No one bothers to even find out the enormity of the crime or even reason that the victims deserve justice. There is that sympathy with the man in custody. The attachment is so intense that it seems stupid to press charges geared towards correcting anomalies.
I threaten the witnesses with bench warrant. The threat works though some still remain recalcitrant and refuse to testify.
I need the cases. The trial should go on. Regardless of how it ends, you have your judgments, which will matter in the day of reckoning.
